The following is a list of recyclable items that we accept in our NEW program:
Recyclable items will be picked up at curbside every week, by the recycling truck (not the garbage truck) on the day of your regular pick-up. Recycling must be out at the curb along with the garbage by 6:00 a.m. Keep recycling bins away from garbage cans or bags for easy access and sighting. If the recycle bin is not in sight or is buried in your trash the recycling will be rejected.
LIMITS: Please do not accumulat large amounts of recycling before setting it out for collection. Recycling will be limited to 2 bins of mixed recycling and 5 bags or bundles of paper/cardboard. Clear plastic bags may be used instead of bins, but can be no larger than 30 gal, and the limit will still be 2. Other similar sized containers are also acceptable.
All our customers who wish to recycle can purchase a recycle bin for $10.00 at our office.
Welcome to the Smith's Disposal and Recycling Family. We hope it will be a long and successful relationship. Due to customer demand, we have implemented a new recycling program. We are now able to accept a larger variety of household recyclables, including #'s 3-7 plastic.
We understand how important recycling is, both to the environment and to our customers, and we appreciate the effort all of you put into it. We hope that this new program will allow you to dispose of your recycling in one place, rather than having to drive to numerous other disposal centers.
Please understand that this service is for our customers only. Recent events in the recycling industry have resulted in increased costs and fees in disposal. To control costs, we have implemented limits on the amount of material we can accept per household each week. Details on the amounts can be found near the bottom of the page.

***NOTICE***
For all of our customers who were not picked up on Saturday, Decemeber 27, we will be coming back on Monday, December 29. We apologize again for the inconvenience, and sincerely appreciate your patience. We have received a great deal of support and understanding from our customers and would like to thank all of you. For anyone who does not get their garbage out again on Monday, we will suspend the limits to ensure you get two weeks worth of garbage pickup this coming Saturday. We would like to reiterate that the roads on Saturday were simply not safe, and our decision was based 100% on that. We made every effort to pick up what we could. We understand that some of you were able to drive on those roads, but your family vehicle and a 60,000 lb garbage truck do not handle the same on pure ice.
Again, we apologize. While we feel that we made the responsible decision, we know that it was inconvenient for you.
